Over the past few decades, a company has grown in South Moravia that today ranks among the world's leading manufacturers of veterinary vaccines and pharmaceuticals. Headquartered in Ivanovice na Hané, Bioveta exports its products to more than a hundred countries across four continents, gradually transforming from a originally regional enterprise into a globally active company.
Libor Bittner significantly contributed to the company's development when he decided to invest in the 1990s in an industry with which he had no prior experience. Over the following thirty years, however, he managed to build Bioveta into a prosperous enterprise with a billion-crown turnover and a strong position in the international market.
“We are now growing at a rate of about one hall per year... On the far left, towards the east, stands one of the latest additions, an animal facility according to the BSL-3 safety standard, essentially a research universe from which nothing can exit or enter. Except for the staff, of course,”, company owner Libor Bittner stated for Forbes magazine.
Today, Bioveta is an acclaimed manufacturer of veterinary medicines as well as products for human medicine. Thanks to growing vaccine sales, the company has achieved stable double-digit growth for many years. Its production portfolio includes more than twenty different products – from antibiotics to vitamin supplements. The firm focuses primarily on veterinary vaccines, but simultaneously manufactures pharmaceuticals for human use, which are sold, for example, under the names Atlet Prodrink, Candivac, or Dermovac.
Bioveta also holds a prominent position in the fight against rabies. The use of its vaccines leads to a significant drop in the incidence of this infection in affected areas, often resulting in its complete eradication. Also thanks to these vaccines, rabies has almost completely ceased to appear in the Czech Republic after 2003.
Following many years of cooperation with Bioveta, our company has practically become its “court” supplier of instrumentation and laboratory equipment. Regular annual deliveries of our devices have already become almost a tradition. The most significant projects implemented in recent years include the installation of sterilization and thermal technology in the Bioveta Biosafety Hall for pharmaceutical manufacturing, as well as in the Bioveta Laboratory Hall and the Vaccine Research and Development Center (Bioveta Novelty Hall).
Currently, dozens of our instruments are installed in the individual production halls and operations of Bioveta, with the total value of the supplied technology exceeding 100 million CZK. These devices are utilized primarily for the production of pharmaceutical medicines.
Cooperation with such a prominent client represents not only prestige for us, but also a high degree of responsibility and long-term commitment. Bioveta currently ranks among our most important customers in the Czech Republic, and its dynamic growth, combined with the annual construction of new production halls, creates further opportunities for the application of our equipment in the future.
