Our company is a long-term supplier of sterilization technology not only to hospitals, but also to vocational education and universities in the Czech Republic.
One of many examples is this year's implementation of the sterilization workplace at the Small Animal Clinic of the University of Veterinary Sciences Brno, where we supplied, among other things, the STERIVAP 669-2 ED and UNISTERI HP 336-2 ED steam sterilizers.
It is a delivery to a workplace that has an excellent position from a national and international point of view. It is one of the two universities providing veterinary education in the Czech Republic and with its current level of education, science and research and the provision of professional veterinary activities, its position in the veterinary community and its tradition, it is an extraordinary institution within the Czech and international higher education system, especially within veterinary education. The history of this university dates back to 1919. In 1990, two faculties were established at the university - the Faculty of General Veterinary Medicine (today's Faculty of Veterinary Medicine) focused on veterinary medicine and the Faculty of Veterinary Hygiene and Ecology focused on veterinary hygiene. In 1991, a third faculty was established – the Faculty of Pharmacy, focused on pharmacy. Since 1994, the university has been called the University of Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Sciences Brno. The tradition of veterinary education in our country has existed for more than 100 years.
The University of Veterinary Sciences Brno cooperates with the State Veterinary Administration of the Czech Republic and regional veterinary administrations. The staff of these organizations participate in direct teaching in the form of lectures, conducting practical exercises or seminars and assessing students' knowledge in exams, especially state final examinations. The university's cooperation with the Chamber of Veterinary Surgeons in the field of optimization of veterinary education is also significant.
In February 2025, the President of the Czech Republic, Ing. Petr Pavel, MA, also visited the University of Veterinary Sciences Brno. The visit was mainly focused on clinical teaching of students. The current president is the second president to visit the university in its history, the first president was T. G. Masaryk more than a hundred years ago in 1924.
In May this year, the University of Veterinary Sciences Brno started the construction of new modern teaching centres under the Jan Amos Comenius Operational Programme, thanks to which the university received financial support. Students and academic staff can look forward to, for example, a virtual endoscopic and diagnostic centre, an ICU teaching simulation centre, a virtual veterinary pathological morphology centre, a teaching centre for veterinary morphology and physiology, a reproductive medicine centre, an equestrian training centre, a centre for advanced dissection techniques of wild animals, or a dairy, meat and fish technology workshop and other smaller centres equipped with, for example, microscopes or 3D Printers. The implementation of the entire project will take place until the end of 2028.
Our company will have the opportunity to participate in the construction of new training centres and thus gain another positive reference as a reliable supplier of sterilization and heating technology at the University of Veterinary Sciences Brno.
